Spaw, You made me burst out laughing again... All I can say is, it's a good thing I went to the bathroom BEFORE I got on mudcat!!!

Kendall, Your list sounds pretty reasonable to me. Now, how close does one have to be to Jane Fonda? Isn't Marty Feldman the guy with the "Whadd'ya Know?" program? Sorry, the pictures don't come in too clearly on my radio yet, so I don't know what he looks like.

Now the relocating thing could be a stumbling block if one were expected to sign on for a multi-year voyage from the getgo. However, if shorter hitches were available, one could try the Gypsy life out and see. At least your route is better than winters in Maine, summers in the south! The relocating and traveling requirements are probably a stumbling block for those with a corporate or government career, or parents or children they want or need to be near. Perhaps you need to realize you're looking for someone without such attachments, or else make provisions to give the first mate ample leave when needed.

Has this helped any? Anybody else have any thoughts for Kendall on this? Let me know if you think my suggestions are reasonable, Kendall.

Best regards,

Mary
