Just a note to assure you that Joe did what he could, but he can't be a full time dragon-slayer. Also, although I naively chose a handle that turned out to be provocative to some imaginations (I was researching a book on sixties music at the time I joined), I am not convinced that this is a gender issue. I have been horrified by the personal abuse slung at men on the 'cat as well as women. And lack of inner toughness is not reserved for women alone. Some of us just don't have it. That's why we can make art--write songs, compose and play music, paint, whatever. We just don't survive too well in brutal environments of any kind.
