If memory serves me right, there is a festival bus that goes into town every 20 minutes or so during the day and evening. (If it doesn't serve me correctly then last year I got on a local service without paying).

The bus timetable is usually in the programme. Hope it is still running as it IS a long walk up that hill. Lots of venues at the school though, so even if you don't make it into town there will be more than enough to keep you busy the whole weekend.

Check out the "open mike/showcase". If the tent is still in the same place you can listen to plenty of new talent while you're waiting for the bus.
