My Grandad loved what he called Connie Onnie butties. Condensed milk sandwiches. He actually ate them. He said he used to eat them in the Somme trenches.

Banana butties are good.

Crisp butties too. (trans. crisps = potato chips)

American sandwiches seem very complicated.
