I mostly agree with Charmion.

I love the CBC and the very idea of public broadcasting. I like that it's a specialty, that it's national, that it has things other stations don't, the variety, and the feel. It has its ups and downs to be sure, but then again, so do I.

Compared to the banal repetitive mind-numbing drivel on TV (like, why are there dozens of stations on cable and nothing I want to watch?) it's a thing of wonder and awe. Besides, unlike TV, I can enjoy it while doing housework, repairs in the shop, or resting between other things.

I might add that CBC radio likely kept my mother alive a few years ago when she was incarcerated in the hospital and nursing home for a few months, and allowed her to return home. It kept her mind awake and thinking, kept her informed and entertained, 24 hours of the clock.

God bless and keep the CBC.

Peace, Mooh.
