I like this song a lot - as my brother lived for a couple of years at Kennethmont (Kinethmont - as it sometimes appears in the lyrics) - which is just along the road from Leith hall.   I had half-known the song for years, and then when I went to visit my brother, and was driving through all these places named in the song, somehow it came vividly to life.
