Definately look up Cyril Tawney, he has a web site under UK Folk listings, mostly 20th Century stuff, but should fit your bill. The old Rugby songs and stories are timeless and very brassy and bold; not suitable except for drunken seamen, so everyone should enjoy them.....Going on duty tonight, so unless (pray God) it is quiet tonight I shall miss the Mudchatters for a while.
