Being the wrong side of 50, even I noticed the almost total lack of youngsters attending this year's festival. I danced with a well known morris side in the early days of Fylde when I numbered amongst the youngsters. It was most depressing to see that there appears no-one coming up to take our place. I do agree with the end of the pier comment - it was old hat back then! No one has mentioned my own discovery of the festival - Rory Elis! Great!
