There is something else I need to know. Who was the lieutenant gov of LA? Why have we not heard from him or her? And why, when it was obvious to the casual observer, was there not a mutiny or a change of guard or whatever. This was not a time for earn while you learn. He or she should have said step aside, you are not competent to do this and taken over and taken the consequences after...unless they are all incompetent and obtuse. She could have perhaps saved face by being sent out on interviews or whatever while someone with some sort of sense was really running things...and spare me the crocidile tears for her....it wasn't a failure just to act and coordinate..it is sounding more and more like serious obstruction to people who did want to do stuff and could have saved lives...lead, follow or get out of the way. If you are window dressing, be window dressing but step aside in emergencies. mg
