September 15, 2005: Bush commits the full credit of his insolvent government to rebuild the whole city of New Orleans. In doing so he ignores the fact that he has already practically bankrupted the government with his military expenses and tries to shift his image from east of Reagon to some strange admixture of FDR and LBJ.

Conservatives who intuitively cringe at the notion of the federal government spending large sums of other citizen's bucks to help people are spinny with amaze, wondering who this guy is and what he did with their President.
