Think about the other ways that people quit smoking--you've done it your way, and you can work past this. My mother had to quit cold turkey after she was scheduled for surgery to replace the major artery from her abdomen into each leg with dacron arteries. She had Burger's Disease, a disease found ONLY in smokers. She was in denial all of her life, and never named the disease. I discovered it later when a friend came down with the same thing. He's in a wheelchair now.
