Azizi, I'm going to have to go with Nigel on this one. The reason I say that is because in the version we sang at Penn Valley Day Camp the first verse went like this:

I grieve my Lord
From day to day
I'm off the straight
And narrow way

I ain't gonna grieve my Lord no more...


I don't know if anyone mentioned that verse previously, but there it is.
