Catspaw - you wondered why they used the UK reaction to Dylan as opposed to the US reaction. The simple answer is - that is the only footage they had.   Pennebaker filmed the Dylan tours and has extensive outtakes that were used in this new movie.   In Part 2 they do address the U.S. reaction, and you will see footage from Murray Lerner made at Newport (by the way - a reminder from an earlier thread - Lerner's film "Festival", a great documentary on the Newport Folk Festival will FINALLY be released to home video on October 18).   They also discuss the reaction Dylan had on several tours and.... ooops, I won't spoil it!
