We recently did a spoons workshop at a folk festival and, as usual, it included a brief lecture on the subject of "spoons etiquette". Momentarily forgetting that there were children in the room, we emphasized the point that spoons playing can annoy certain people by citing the name of this thread. A little girl asked us what "take those spoons and shove them" meant and, somewhat embarrassed, we responded, "Ask your parents".
