Actually Joe, re: the Weavers. It WASN'T a whole lot different than numerous other folk groups. We just though they should be a bit purer. Bob Gibson (a hero of mine) claimed authorship on many songs that were very similar to those written by actual living composers (Like Libba Cotton)Yeah "Kent St.Clair" WAS a bit pretentious...but the hotel loved it. Needless to say it was my idea of a joke, cause I hadda wear a suit and tie for the gig.
There are a couple of (pseudo) folk albums out there with the designation: Lead guitar: Lance D. Boyle. I'll never give anymore info though! (it was a union thing)
