I heard an interview with Gloria Steinem many years ago. She told of being transported across a campus to where she would speak, and saw a group waving signs that said "Gloria Steinem is a Secular Humanist!" She was pleased to see these signs, then saw their faces, and realized they were turning the term into an accusation.

It's time to take back some territory. And probably time to read some Marx.
