The whole filioque question is not so big a deal to many modern Christians it would seem. Believing in the Trinity pretty much includes it anyway, so that's easy for me. But, it's not essential to faith, and it's an area of thought and theology which is still (or again) evolving. Some questions are unanswerable in this world, and others will be revealed.
