Well, the evening was spent choosing things to stuff into bags and worrying about having forgotten which the things were I was trying not to forget. And pondering questions like "How cold is cold, given that we don't use the word much in these parts?"

Crack o'dawn flight to Baltimore, a city whose very names resonates with history and song. I put new strings on the Martin and left them tuned way down, put the Martin in the case with a pillow under its head, and put the case in a Clamshell traveling box suspended on dense foam joints. I put Fragile stickers all around the outside. I can only pray it arrives when and where I do, intact.
