I personally enjoy receiving jokes by E-mail...what I am not enamoured with is the "Instruction" I often get to pass it on to others. Not of course just joke ones but other E-mails as well...some of which I would never send to friends anyway (and I do not particularly feel like sending them to enemies).
Jokes are to be shared yes but as and when people chose.
