Thread Name: Hanging instruments on the wall?
Subject: RE: Hanging instruments on the wall?
This thread reminds me of what I was doing about 13 years ago. Note ... "Bride Judy" and I have been married 12 years. In the ten years I was single before "Bride Judy" brought me to my senses, I always hung my musical instruments on the walls of my bachelor house.

All the walls were covered. Once I think I counted about 54 instruments hanging everywhere. As someone already mentioned ... they were more beautiful than pictures.

I had guitars, mandolins, zithers, autoharps, several banjos, a couple of banjo ukes, many stringed instruments from the American praries of the depression years that nobody could identify or play.

One day, shortly before I first met "Bride Judy," one of my music friends made the comment about my house ... "Hmmm. Looks like a hock shop!"

Shortly afterwards, "Bride Judy" met my house for the first time. Her first comment was ... "Hmmm. Looks like a hock shop!"

Today, as "Bride Judy" is a wonderful artist, we have removed the instruments and replaced them with art ... except that I still hang my two vintage Martins on my bedroom wall. CHEERS, Bob(deckman)Nelson
