Bright muse, you are enough of dream to call
Forth more than just desire: You are the source
Imagination draws hope from. Yet, all
Heart has to offer cannot your smile force.
Must I not want your happiness? I ask
For you to tell what it is you desire:
Should I attempt to all my longings mask,
Or might I let line list why you inspire?
I seek more than I might deserve, but less
Than my own dreams desire: Might you be kind,
And give my visions light? Might I confess
That I find you forever in my mind?
I cannot silent stay, and dreams ignore:
You have the power to my heart restore.
