Here we are in Maine, safe and sound having stopped off in New Joisy to Visit Chez Tinker(Thanks again for the hospitality again Tink) and then a LONG Journey today My Butt is NUMB but my spirits are high.
What can I say about the weekend? First and Foremost a big Thanks to the FSGW snd its Officers, Ferrara, Nancy King, Charlie Baum (and any others we met) for there Magnificent Hospitality and Welcome. EVERYONE I spoke to said how unfailingly welcomed and surrounded with friendship they felt!!
Highlights? Chance and Suzettes House Party on Thursday
The Impromptu sings and Music on Friday
The Birthday/wedding stuff and the "This IS Your Life" Book( I can wait for my little revenges)
On Saturday the The Workshops I got to were great, so a thank you to all involved there and the splendid support from Dave Diamond, Jackie Morse and everyone else at The Parodies workshop
all your work was splendid. and we got around everyone!!!\
Sunday
The Songwriters showcase, it was GREAT to see the support and Talent that came up for this, Thanks to ALL the participants, some really unusual and poignant songs( the love song with the dead cat in the last verse still lingers in the memory!!!!)
the other workshops, a long conversation about Quakers with Lorcan, wine tasting with jimmyt Skarpis Icelandic "Wild Rover" and more so much more. but the BEST is hugging and meeting and re-meeting new and old friends. if I listed them all it would simply be reprinting the list of those that attended, but speciallly KT and Ebby Carol C Janice Cole, Bobert,max,and all you others heres a big Hug from me
The Sunday night Concert
The late night sings in the dining Hall on Both evenings was magical this and so much more, again My thanks to all who have made a Happy man feel very old!
