If you're tempted to come up this way, consider centering your trip around a 3rd Saturday. That's when our Maine continguent gets together with our NH friends at the Press Room Pub in Portsmouth, NH, 3:30 to 7:30 pm. It's 4 hours of leisurely swapping songs of the sea, both shanties as well as forebitters, with occasional other oddities added.

I'm not particularly good at remembering names. What song did you lead at the Shanties Workshop at the Getaway?

And where in NC do you get together to sing? Some of us have friends with the Triangle Folk Song Club, Winston/Salem.
