Well, thanks for the compliments, everybody. That means a lot because I know its coming from people who understand folk music. Bobert I will be PMing you. If you have a recording of the Churchill tunnel song I would love to hear it and I know that Maria would also. She was deeply moved that somebody would remember such an incident, since most of the people involved were poor black workers that nobody bothered much about back in those days.

Hearing the discussions about the workshops makes me really wish I could have attended them all - an impossibility, I know, and I so enjoyed the ones I did get to. The Performers workshop hosted by Judy Cook, Kendall and Chance and Suzette was very useful and really was more of what I would call a real workshop rather than a singaround. Don't get me wrong, I loved the singarounds but I wish each worshop could have been expanded in length so that the moderator could have talked more about the genre that was being explored, and so there would be time for questions. The wealth of knowledge at the Getaway is staggering, isn't it?
