Like Clinton I've also been looking at the Yamaha "silent" guitar, mainly due to feed-back issues on stage.
They sound and feel good to play and I like the idea of just connecting ear-phones for a little home practise without worrying about disturbing anyone.
I'm sure I've seen Brian May using one of these.

For now I'll content myself with a "feed-back buster" for £5 but I suspect I'll be back to the guitar shop in the near future.
