'North sea holes' it is in the MacColl songbook. I'll listen to my CD of the radio ballad 'Singing the fishing' (for which this song was written) next weekend. I hope I can hear the difference between 'shoals' and 'holes'.

BTW, the LP 'McKenna brothers life' also has it as 'holes'.
