I've only ever heard the Goons, occasionally on radio and on a couple of albums that my parents had. Probably responsible for all the strange things in my life since....Anyway my brother just lent me a couple of tapes of Goon Shows. It says on the back "From 1952 to 1960 the Goons ruled the airwaves, The most celebrated and influential clowns in the history of radio." They certainly were silly enough.
