When Travis wrote Smoke, Smoke, Smoke (That Cigarette), he did not think of it as an anti-smoking song. He did write another version [Smoke, Smoke, Smoke (But Not Around Me)] at the request of his friend, Grandpa Jones, which was for non-smokers. Don't know if I can find a copy, but will give it a shot. Will not consider it an insult if someone beats me to it. Travis did have a way with words, with music, and with the guitar. and could draw a pretty good picture too. Supposedly a female member of his band claims to be the inspiration for the song. Claimed Trav made a move on her and she stalled by lighting up a cigarette.
