Thread Name: BS: Is Blair mad?
Subject: RE: BS: Is Blair mad?
the majority of the Labour Party were quite stupid enough to be unelectable throughout the falklands, the miners strike, years of unemployment screwing up a couple of generations, the green shoots of recovery, ad nauseam and etc.

I think Blair's success is the only thing that holds them together - much in the same way that Thatcher's success held down and suppressed all the best politicians, and voices of disonance in her own party - leaving only the lickspittle yesmen to succeed.

the tories in power would have been just as gung ho for these military adventures. I think maybe our'special relationship' with America makes us inevitable allies.

dunno if he's mad, has anybody heard ever him play that guitar, or is it a fashion accessory. bloody Bill Clinton was always whipping out his saxophone, but then again HE gave Rambling Jack Eliot the congressional medal of honour. that's a class act.

Perhaps Blair will give Derek Brimstone the Iron cross with oakleaves or something.

and you're right I can't spell disonance, but I'm not looking it up just for you lot.
