Good mornin', my friend and a big welcome from me as well...
I live 9 miles southeast of Luray, Virgina on the side of Blue Ridge mountain...
I was born and raised in Virginia and played with a lousy and loud rock band in the late 60's in Richmond and played a little in either '75 or '77 at the Crossroads Coffeehouse on Monuement Ave in Richmond...
Fir the last several years I've been playin' mostly country blues in the style of Fred McDowell, R.L. Burnside and T Model Ford... I also have been playin' with the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. going back esveral years... Their website is acousticblues.com. If you go there and go to the photos taken at the Potter House performance, I'm the skinny guy with grey hair playing a steel bodied resonator... I'm in other pics as well but that one is the best one...
Like where exactly is it that you live??? Sounds like the Shwenadoah valley... Maybe off Rt. 11???
Oh, before you find out from sopmeone else, yeah, from 1985 until this past spring, I did live in a holler in Jefferson Co., Wes Ginny...
