Yes, there always seems to be a 'lost' child wandering somehow through this song wherever I have heard it or talked about it. My own case is the same and one of the reasons for its significance in my life. I knew the song and loved it for years prior to the loss of my own first-born and now of course, it creates not only the beauty but the bitter sweet of profound loss. Many have grief tied up in it, like me, but also a wonderful generosity. I want everyone I care for to remain "forever young' in accordance with the lyrics and often at significant events its been dedicated. However I'll listen to it privately and quietly as well as loudly and publicly.
