If you want to get the vinyl onto CD, there's no need to degrade it through analog tape (which you will ... unless you have top-grade studio deck ... at 15 inchs/sec). Reasonable decks, specifically for sucking all your old LPs into the computer are available in electronic shops ... and cheap programs to work straight from the input to computer abound. (Lots of threads on the 'Cat, by the way).
