"Dance Hall Girls" is an old Allan Fraser (Fraser & DeBolt) song. One of the great things about Tom Russell is that he also sings and records songs that he didn't write.

I think Hotwalker is a fabulous album, but it can't be approached as a standard CD. It's more like an audio film documentary.

I also think that The Man from God Knows Where is the finest accomplishment of ANY artist in folk music in the past 25 or more years.

I'm going to Ottawa for the Canadian Folk Music Awards on December 10. It turns out that Tom Russell & Andrew Hardin are playing in Montreal on December 8, followed by Finest Kind on December 9. My road to Ottawa runs through Montreal so I know where I'll be on the 8th and 9th.
