Thread Name: Lyr Req: Gamblin' Man
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Gambling Man (from Mike Seeger)
Mike Seeger recorded GAMBLING MAN on his album "Music from the True Vine," Mercury LP SRMl-627, 1972, which has apparently not been reissued.

There's also an album called "Close to Home: Old Time Music From Mike Seeger's Collection (1952-1967)" Smithsonian Folkways CD 40097, 1997, which contains a song OLD GAMBLING MAN sung by J. J. Neece. I listened to a sound sample, and part of it was unintelligible, but I heard this refrain:

"Bound to win your money, boys, and I'll carry it away with mine.
Carry it away with mine,
Carry it away with mine,
I'm bound to win your money, boys, and carry it away with mine."
