Quinces will grow quite happily in Britian, you just need somewhere with a nice big garden- Again, any excuse will have to do!

The Spanish for quite a while called oranges foe marmalade Gunpowder oranges, as Britian insisted on importing them all through WWII. They refused to belive we would do this just for the sake of Marmalade, and assumed it must be for munitions!
