GLAD TIDINGS!

Karen just called. They are talking about releasing Spaw from hospital in a matter of days! Then she said he told her to ask me to call because his curiousity was up. Karen received another special package in the mail, today, plus some other wonderful, thoughtful cards, letters, etc. I will let him tell more when he is home and able.

So...I called him. We talked for over an hour and it is the best I have heard him sound in a year or more. It was just wonderful. We both kept remarking on how good it was to talk...I think it was partly because we both had plenty of breath with which to speak!**bg**

He knows he neglected some warning signs and this time is making some important changes as he figures he's used up close to all of those nine lives we "cats" get.:-)

He is keeping his oxygen sat rates up just fine, without extra oxygen, the ulcers look good; he is "eating like a horse" and feels great. The only thing left is for them to start him on coumadin, again, to prevent blood clots, then send him home. So, he can rightly sing, "I'll be home for Christmas!"

Hollowfox, you'll be glad to know Karen took the day off, kept the boys at home and is getting some good rest and having fun fixing dinner.

True Confession: I didn't get this printed off and sent to him, partly because it grew so fast, it would've been scads of pages. I don't feel too badly now that I know he will be home soon and is eager to read it himself.

Oh, Happy Day!

Thanks ya'll,
