First off -- If you're tempted to "tut" at me, please don't. And spare me the "Get Rid of Windows!" speaches. It's what I have to work with, and getting a whole new O.S. is not practical right now.

My computer is in serious need of defragging, right now (and I think I need to defrag it before I try playing some CD-ROMs I got as pressies this Christmas). But when I went to run the program, Defrag.Exe was not to be found on my computer (yes, I browsed, and ran the "Find:" program). It was there a few months ago, when I last ran it. Somehow, it got deleted (I have a sneaking suspicion that it was Norton Security, having found a spyware bug, that deleted it, to remove the threat) I tried the add/move program, in the Control Panal folder, but Defrag.exe was not available. And Windows Help said if that's the case, I need to download the progam and reinstall it.

I've tried Googling for Defrag.exe, Download, and Windows, and I get lots of hits talking about how to download the program, but no links to where I can actually acquire it.

So I'm sitting here, "Arghing," when I thought that Mudcatter might have some helpful clues.

Help??
