Gonna be a minority government, either way it goes. Then we'll have another election in 10 months, after yet another non-con vote... waste some more money on another election instead of actually doing something constructive.

At which time both the Liberals and the Conservatives (how come the Reform Party became the Conservative Party? Conservative Reform? seems like an oxymoron to me) will dump their present leaders in hopes of someone with more charisma or fashion sense who can win big for them.

Who will the new leaders be?

For the Conservatives?
Peter MacKay, of course. It's why he's hanging around in this federal party instead of going into provincial politics.

And for the Liberals?
Not John Manley, anyway. He's got all the charisma of a planter's wart.
Nope. It's gonna be that new hottie darling the Liberals recently acquired in their collection... Brenda "Windswept and Interesting" Stronach.

Then it'll be revealed that there's no real rift between her and so-called former sweetie Peter MacKay. It's all been a sordid plot to lull us into a stunned sense of apathy. Petey and BrenBren will work together to ensure our plodding system of government will be eviscerated and have themselves appointed King and Queen of Canada. "Let them eat Tim Hortons!"
