Farnsfield is only Fairly near Mansfield, Muppitz. But it is near Southwell, and not far from Newark. Mansfield was the smallest town in Britain without a railway station (until it got one a few years ago) and Newark - an anagram - is the smallest with two. Southwell is either the only village or the smallest town to boast a full-ranking diocesan cathedral (its parish council has redesignated itself as a town council).
