MIDDLE AGE

Sometimes I feel; I mostly don't.
Mostly I kneel - but sometimes won't.
I live the day as best I can,
without a thought, without a plan.
If there's a chance, I mostly miss.
I rarely love, I mainly kiss.
With absent mind most of the time,
I more or less still find the line.
A bumbling fool, one day to next,
not even angry - just mildly vexed.
Sometimes in time, but mostly late
life doesn't rhyme, can't concentrate.
No will to fight, no time for fun;
from day till night I'm on the run.
Little to mark my whole life through.
You think you're better? then more fool you!
