Subject: RE: BS: The Boy Who Cried Bush
What some people miss is that our "Bush bashing" is a visceral response to the dangers we perceive. For that reason, I don't even think of it as bashing. If your child had fallen in a well and in danger of falling farther and you kept screaming about it would anyone call it fear mongering? No. You must wake the people.

I'm sure that some will say that action, not vocalization, is what is needed. However, under the US system the only recourse we have available is to speak out until it is time for action. In the meantime, we must wake the people.

One other thought: For those who would say that here on the Mudcat we are speaking mostly to the converts I would agree. However, the more we read and thnk and speak and have our fears confirmed and reinforced, the more we find words for the message and the more likely it is that we will find the words in our own corner of the world. We must wake the people.
