And when I was twelve I was lost in church, too. Or at least my mother said I was lost. I don't think you can be lost when you're tied up, gagged, stuffed into a sack, and left behind the church furnace.

Did I ever mention (this is truth!) that my mother dropped me on my head when I was about 18 months old? I still have the scar to prove it, too.
