Yeah -- there's an old Nordic saying about never confusing Dane geld with a gelded Dane == or maybe it was an ancient hearthside riddle -- "What's the difference between Hamlet and one of his kroner?"   "One is Dane geld, the other a gelded Dane." It loses something in translation though.
