Thread Name: BS: How many 'regular posters' do we have?
Subject: RE: BS: How many 'regular posters' do we have?
Apart from a couple of times that I have posted from my son's computer, I only post from home. I log on occasionally for a little while around lunch time on some days, and every night as a matter of course - unless I'm away or the 'Cat is down, or there is some other unforseen circumstance, such as when I was moving a couple of years ago.

I try to check out all the threads I'm interested in, which is a lot. I mainly avoid the political threads because I don't fancy ploughing through long cut and pastes - life's too short. I did try to take on Teribus once in my early days, but decided pretty quickly that it wasn't worth the bother. I don't think that realistically, anyone's going to change anyone else's mind here anyway, and none of it is going to make the slightest difference to what our pollies do. If I want to make a statement, I'd rather go out and protest, or do something that might make a difference out in the real world.

I view Mudcat chiefly as my entertainment, so with a few exceptions (like many, I have been "Shambled"), rather than having arguments, I prefer to put my energy here into the music threads that interest me and the funny ones. I post something most days - some more than others. My average since I joined at the end of 2002 is 2.91 - just under 3 posts a day, and probably would be more if it wasn't for all of Mudcat's downtime.

So yes, I would definitely consider myself a regular poster. A day without Mudcat feels like there is something missing - pretty sad I suppose. I blame Sandra - she introduced me to Mudcat ;-)
