Some time in the next few days (I'll track down details) C4 in the UK is going to broadcast a documentary by Peter Hitchens - brother of the Christopher well known in the states. He will be demonstrating that the British electorate, reduced by the government to a state of mortal fear, is sleepwalking towards dictatorship. Peter Hichens is well known in Britain as a clarion voice from well to the right on the political spectrum, so this will be interesting.
