Those who enjoy Jerome Moross soundtracks such as The Big Country who are near the San Francisco area may want to consider seeing one of the rare revivals (March 23-April 9, 2006) of his 1954 musical (lyrics by John LaTouche) THE GOLDEN APPLE. It tells the story of events surrounding The Trojan War as though they happened in circa 1900 Washington State, and is one of my very favorite musicals (I saw it near CHicago in 1995). info: www.42ndstmoon.org
