I heard a statistic that 2 percent of the music produced gets 98 percent of the air time. I think there's strength in diversity. I have to watch out for my own attitudes so I don't come across as a snob. I don't advertise that I listen to Barry or Abba. My 24 yr old son raised both eyebrows when I admitted to listening to 'Dancing Queen', as if he had to reformulate his image of his old man. But I have to be careful not to look at people as an anthropological anomaly because their taste is on the other side of the bell curve from mine.
