A few 'catters dabble in the SCA/Rennie-type subcultures; if you don't, this might be of utterly no interest to you.

Apparantly the TV show "Wife Swap" (a clone of "Trading Spouses") recently tapped a family of medieval enthusiasts for one set of contestants.

While I didn't catch the episode, I do know it is the nature of such shows to either deliberately choose people who are as "out there" as possible...or to edit the footage to make it appear so.

They must have outdone themselves. :/ Apparantly all sorts of wild suppositions about our "game" (and whether all of us are like the family in question) have been making the water-cooler rounds.

Just makes me wonder how many of you have caught, or might catch, crap over this.
