Actually, ;) I was pretty sure both the name and the concept of "Trading Souses" debuted as a Dave Chapelle sketch -- as a parody of "Trading Spaces" -- which predates the two shows in question by at least two years.   

When the "serious" (so to speak) versions came out, one using the same title, I kept wondering why he didn't cry plagiarism. God knows I can't flip past them while channel-surfing.

Chapelle's bit was WEEPINGLY funny. The full-length shows are just a shabby train-wreck.
