Indignant lady to Winston Churchill (during another acrimonious disagreement): "If you were my husband, I would poison you!"

Churchill's deadpan reply: "Madam, if I were your husband, I would take the poison."

Certainly had a way with indignant women, didn't he? I imagine Hitler could have found a few willing to assassinate him for these choice remarks, and they'd have done it for free... (grin)
